Growing up, I never lived in one place for very long. Being the son of a Naval Officer, my six siblings and I moved with our family to Colorado in 1977 after my father's engineering firm was chosen to rebuild the dam and power plant after the Big Thompson Canyon Flood. I returned to California in 1978 to start, own, and operate a successful seafood restaurant in San Diego before I changed careers to aviation in 1992. I became a flight instructor, until my father asked me to come back to Colorado to help with the family real estate business. Ever since obtaining my real estate license in 1994, Colorado has been my home and I have found a passion for real estate.

Real Estate Experience

Growing up with real estate experience has led to me mastering the business. Over the past 18 years, my professional approach to marketing Seller's properties or finding the right properties for buyers has made me one of the top agents in the Front Range. Approximately 80% of my business comes from past customers and referrals. With my range of sales and properties, I am able to help each customer. I take pride in treating each of my customers as if they were my only customer, and I give them the one-on-one attention they want and deserve.

My over 18 years of experience in residential marketing has largely contributed to my many residential home sales in Boulder, Longmont, Loveland, Berthoud, Mead, Erie, Louisville, Frederick, Firestone, Platteville and Fort Lupton.


Farms, ranches, and vacant land
From mountain properties to rural properties, and small acreage to farms and ranches, I have sold many vacant lands in parts of Colorado including Weld, Larimer, Boulder and Morgan counties.

Short sales, foreclosures and investment properties
Working with first-time homebuyers, short sales, foreclosures, investment properties and 1031 exchanges has been a part of my real estate career ever since I became licensed.

Water rights and mineral rights
My extensive knowledge of water rights and mineral rights continues to grow.

Memberships And Lifestyle

I'm a member of various associations including the National Association of Realtor, the Colorado Association of Realtors, the Boulder and Longmont Association of Realtors, and the Longmont Chamber of Commerce. Volunteering with the MS Cycling Fundraiser and Community Sailing of Colorado are also ways in which I spend my time. A proud father of four and grandfather of ten, I enjoy the lifestyle of Colorado including flying, cycling, hiking, weightlifting and hunting.

We have worked with Jim on multiple sales and purchases over the last 15+ years, both rural and in town. We first sought out his services due to his well-known experience in rural properties and quickly found him to be excellent at handling both rural and suburban properties.
